The Huntsman Guild is a new way of streamlining the process of monster hunting while both the monsters and hunters make more shillings than ever before! Interested? Here’s how it works…
The Huntsman Guild is located at a table in town. If at any time during the day you would like to play a monster, you will go to the Huntsman Guild table and say to whomever is working the table “I’d like to go scouting for (insert specific monster)” then the Guild worker will hand you your mask, costume, a monster loot drop (goblin ear, orc tusk, minotaur horn, etc.) corresponding to the monster you will be playing, and a couple shillings for your trouble.
Then you tell the Guild worker where you are going in the woods and you go wait there. A couple minutes after you leave, the Guild worker will then tell people that our scouts have spotted (insert monster/monsters) in a certain place in the woods and will send a group of adventurers to your location. If they kill you (the monster), they will collect the loot drop (goblin ear, werewolf teeth, etc.) and they will return to the Huntsman Guild. There they will turn in the loot drop to the Guild worker as proof that the monster has been slain and will receive shillings. You (the monster) will come back to town after being killed and turn in your mask and costume and resume playing your regular character.
A few more rules…
Monsters can loot adventures they have killed.
Adventurers cannot loot monsters of shillings, only of their monster loot drop.
If you plan to play a monster, please review the monster rules on the website ahead of time as all monsters have different HP stats and rules.
Adventurers will be rewarded a varying amount of shillings for killing a monster and turning in its loot drop based on the specific monster (some are harder to kill than others…).
Feel free to ask the Guild worker at the table any questions you have about the process or about the specific abilities of certain monsters.
Bring a friend! All monsters can go out in a set of at least two, however goblins and orcs may go out in groups of up to five.
This is a great way to earn shillings so get involved if you want to put some coin in your pouch!
